Acting on intelligence from the Volyn Border Guard Detachment, on the outskirts of one of the border towns in the Kovel region, border guards, in collaboration with SSU (Security Service of Ukraine) officers, successfully brought down a quadcopter carrying two packages. Subsequent investigation revealed that the packages contained 22.5 kilograms of hashish.

Law enforcement promptly identified three individuals involved in the illegal activity and conducted authorized searches at their premises. As a result, they discovered drones and their components, along with other incriminating evidence.

Under the procedural guidance of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office, all three individuals from Volyn were notified of suspicion of attempted conspiracy to smuggle a particularly dangerous narcotic substance on an especially large scale (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 15, Part 3 of Article 305 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The court ordered all three suspects to be remanded in custody as a preventive measure.
